But I'd second Bernie's suggestion - even if the article on Speedoptions proves to be the case, it's very unprofessional not to notify your clients of the situation.If it were me, I'd want to be clear of this transaction (or lack thereof) and start a fresh one, either with another vendor or the new WW, later, after they're set up, if that's still the way you want to go.
